Rock on!!!!Teens and Rockers this ones for you. Come to SM Davao Open Parking on June 25 2011 at 7PM. As Tunduay brings together the biggest lineup of bands ever assembled in Philippine Music History. Tanduay Rhum First Five Concert Tour 2011 features:

Photobucket
Wolfgang is expected to be the hardest hitting band on the tour. They can whip up a storm with their tried and tested heavy rock anthems and get the crowd singing with their modern classic rock rock ballads. Wolfgang will unleash its own brand of anarchy through its signature heavy metal hits, from its wildly successful six albums, that the audience will surely enjoy headbanging with.

Photobucket
Chicosci will bring forward a punk-oriented sound that does not sound like anything else. The Chicosci sound is very polarizing with their music allowing one to escape to one's teenage years. Chicosci's pop-punk and emo music also adds a different vibe on the concert mood with hits like "7 Black Roses" and "Diamond Shotgun."

Photobucket
Sandwich brings the quirk. It's hard to put a finger on what Sandwich is really trying to do. Sandwich has always been exploring a whole range of rock disciplines. The group that brought the hits "Two Trick Pony", "Sugod" and "Betamax" will surely bring the audience to alternative rock bliss with their signature type of pop rock.

Photobucket
Kamikazee is one of the biggest bands of the last decade. Their song Narda was the national anthem for almost a year! Kamikazee, known for its classic pinoy rock, mixes their music with comic antics on stage to show the lighter fun side of rock.

Photobucket
Parokya ni Edgar will surely bring in the beloved sound that has made them the "Pambansang Banda ng Pilipinas", as they perform their popular novelty rock hots like "Harana", "Picha Pie", "Buloy" and "The Yes Yes Show". People know their songs and the audience will definitely erupt in unison.

"A league of extraordinary gentlemen", it's Tanduay's "First Five".
Catch the Tanduay First Five Concert at the SM Davao Open Parking C on June 25 2011, 7 PM.

Beef Brisket Noodle Soup Snack at Mandarin Tea Garden

Is there such thing as hunger intolerance? I think there is and I'm one of those who has no tolerance when hunger pangs strike. Me and hubby attended an assembly yesterday in Bajada area. Free snacks would be served in that assembly but it was already 30 minutes past 3PM and snacks were not yet served because the program perhaps is delayed. I was already very hungry, got an aching head and was really uneasy anymore so we decided to sneak out.

Beef brisket noodle soup, it's about to be finished when I remember I have a camera inside my bag.LOLz

mango shake with sago for me

and this one for hubby...

First thing that comes to mind was Mandarin Tea Garden since it's just near in the area. We went to Mandarin Tea Garden near SSS office and when we arrived there, only few people were inside. That's a good news for us because it means few waiting hours and fast serving for us. Few minutes after the waiter took our orders, he already serve us with beef brisket noodle soup, one for hubby and another one for me, a glass of mango shake sago for me and black forest for hubby. I right away finished off the bowl of noodle soup in a few minutes, a sign that I was indeed hungry, LOLz. I then enjoyed sipping my mango shake which was perfect for an afternoon snack.

Philippine Independence Day

Independence Day celebration is fast approaching. As I pass by major thoroughfares in the city, I see many establishments are already hanging Philippine Flag on the facade of their buildings. Independence day is very important for us Filipinos because without it, we would not have been able to enjoy the freedom we are having now. Aside from having no work on Independence day, I also love going to malls because there are many items on sale in connection with this celebration.

In connection with this celebration, SM Davao will bring together Filipino-made innovations and inventions in a showcase of Pinoy Pride at the mall's 2nd floor in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology and Davao Inventors Association. Tubog Pinoy Concert will feature ballader Chad Borja and ace choral ensemble Himig Singers will perform songs from popular Filipino movies on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the SM event center, to set the mood of Filipino patriotism. On the 12th of June which marks as the 113th year celebration of Philippine Independence, SM Davao will hoist with pride 113 Philippine flags at the mall's entrance. On the same Day at 4 PM, Davao's very own Ateneo Carillion, Nica Tupas, and Dream Girls, Royeca Ballet, Musikdamy and PGT Season 2 finalist Buildex Pagales weaves together a colorful showcase of hip and modern Filipino culture Hataw Pop Pinoy. Who says Santacruzan is only for the young ones? Definitely, it's not. It is a tradition of the Filipinos to celebrate Santacruzan in the month of May. By the way, for those who do not know about Santacruzan, it is a popular religious festival held in the various towns and cities in the Philippines as a highlight to the month long celebration of the Flores de Mayo (Flowers of May). The festival comes from a religious origin, a commemoration of the finding of the Holy Cross by Saint Helena and Constantine.

SM Davao Seniorcruzan muse Mrs. Laguna was SM Davao Superlola 2010. She runs her own business and at the same time, she is an active member and officer in the Davao City Senior Citizen Federation.
